Accounts Receivable Officer

THE OPPORTUNITY

As the Accounts Receivable Officer, reporting to Chief Financial Officer and Finance Manager, you will be responsible for both the beginning phases of the debt collection process and the entire receivables department. Among the responsibilities are:

  • Daily processing of all bank receipts ensuring accurate and complete allocation of all customer and general ledger receipts.
  • Addressing and responding to customer inquiries and following up as required with internal staff.
  • Reconciliation of customer accounts and follow up where required.
  • Providing weekly performance reports of accounts receivable process.
  • Managing the monthly reconciliation of control accounts.
  • Follow up overdue invoices for allocated customer accounts
  • Process the receipt of customers payments in the accounting systems
  • Provide Ageing reports of overdue payments to Finance manager on daily, weekly, monthly basis
  • Any ad hoc as required by the Management

ABOUT YOU

  • Diploma / Certificate / Tertiary qualifications in Commerce or Accounting
  • Prior experience in financial roles is desirable
  • Experience in working within high volume environments
  • Knowledge of relevant accounting software
  • Proficient English communication skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
  • Fluent in English – both written and spoken
  • Ability to work towards a deadline
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
  • Full working rights in UK
  • Salary Package: 70k + benefits
