Our client is a renowned non-profit organization that serves citizens across 130 locations and has made it their top mission to offer care for the elderly and assistance to the vulnerable.
To help grow and enhance the finance processes of the company, our client is
looking for an experienced Assistant Accountant to fill a full-time position.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Joining their growing finance team, you'll take responsibility for the full AR/AP function and assist on EOM/BAS reporting. All other tasks include, but not limited to:
- Accounts Payable and Receivable Management
- Assisting with balance sheet reconciliation
- Preparing GST returns
- Daily reconciliation of sales to banking and bank reconciliations for all entities
- Fortnightly payroll and manual pay, as required
- Maintaining fixed assets register and annual review
- Maintaining staff accounts
- Updating cashflow report on a weekly basis which includes updating for future import orders
- Preparing Monthly retail reports
ABOUT YOU
The successful applicant will preferably have:
- Tertiary qualification in Business/Accounting
- Sound knowledge of accounting/bookkeeping processes
- At least 2 years’ experience in Assistant Accounting roles
- Previous experience in supporting month-end closing, as well as general reporting
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Salary Package: $70k + benefits
