THE OPPORTUNITY
As the Financial Analyst, you will be responsible for month-end close and assisting with forecasting and reporting.
This role requires the ability to make appropriate levels of judgement in certain areas. To be a financial analyst, you must have a moderate level of technical accounting, communication and influencing skills, as well as analysis and advice on all financial aspects across your portfolio. Other duties include (but not limited to):
- Working capital analysis and cash flow reporting
- Prepare monthly management reports and value add analyses for the business partner to have an impact on business choices
- Work along with important stakeholders to comprehend the business's primary motivators
- To support activities related to strategic planning, create financial models
- Analysis of trends across departments
ABOUT YOU
The ideal applicant for this position will have at least two years of established experience creating financial strategies, projections, and budgets. Other qualifications include:
- CA or CPA qualification or part qualified CA/CPA
- Relevant tertiary qualifications (Accounting, Business, Finance)
- Previous Financial experience, 2-5 + years experience in financial roles
- Proficient working knowledge of Excel
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with previous experience dealing with stakeholders inside and outside of Finance
